What about Todd?

A native of Pittsburgh, PA, Todd is an alum of Penn State University were he graduated with highest distinction, majoring in American Studies, with honors in Administration of Justice. as a freshman, Todd played varsity basketball and the following year became a certified AFAA personal trainer and volunteered his weekends to Habitat for Humanity. Todd earned his Bachelor of Arts in 1999, and he remains a member of the Alpha Phi Sigma, Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi, and Phi Eta Sigma honor societies. After graduation, Todd worked as a civilian for the Department of Defense until August of 2000, when he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. During his four years of faithful service, Todd’s duty called him to Spain, Greece, Turkey, Djibouti, Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, Pakistan, Okinawa, and Mainland Japan (with layovers in Alaska, Greenland, and Germany) while he served as the Non-Commissioned Officer in charge of training, safety, water survival, educational advancement, substance abuse, and religious counsel. As a basic infantryman, Todd achieved the rank of Sergeant in three years, taught two college level criminal law courses overseas, and earned a Navy Achievement Medal for his honorable service.

Before his tour was over, Todd was offered a $20,000 re-enlistment bonus to become a counter-intelligence agent, but turned the offer down because he had already been accepted into the Notre Dame School of Law as a member of the class entering fall 2005. Upon his release in 2004, Todd moved in with his brother in Morrisville, NC. He began teaching elementary school children with behavioral/emotional disorder problems at Easley Elementary in Durham, NC. During that time, Todd’s friends and feelings advised him not to go to law school in Indiana, and instead he entered graduate school at North Carolina Central University in August 2005. Todd resigned from his full-time teaching position, but remained a certified substitute teacher. While at NCCU, Todd was employed as a writing consultant who tutored, instructed, and empowered undergraduate and graduate students to be more proficient writers.

In September 2006, Todd performed his first ministerial duties since he was ordained a Reverend by the Universal Life Church in May 2006, presiding over a beautiful ceremony in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. A month prior in August, Todd transferred to NC State University and was employed by Durham Public Schools once again. He taught world literature to tenth graders at Northern High School, managing and inspiring over 70 students daily to excel in the classroom and in life. Time constraints led Todd to resign from his high school teaching position, but he is now employed on a per contract basis by PrepSuccess, a company that provides teaching and tutoring in preparation for graduate entrance exams (for more information on PrepSuccess visit www.prepsuccess.com) . He is still pursuing a Master of Arts in Rhetoric and Composition with an anticipated graduation date of December 2008. Todd has a zeal for reading and writing, and he utterly enjoys investigating topics of interest and composing free verse and short stories in his leisure. Todd also receives significant pleasure from drumming on his conga and is a faithful practitioner of meditation and Vinyasa Yoga.

Todd attained his first degree Reiki certification in the Usui System of Natural Healing in February 2007 and completed his second degree Reiki certification in July 2007 (for more information on Reiki visit http://wellcurrents.com/id1.html). In August of 2007 Todd received direct access to Universal Life Force via a God Well opening (for more information on God Wells visit www.godwell.net).

The myriad of experiences Todd has embodied allows him to see people, events, and situations with a great deal of perspective not normally afforded to a man of such youth. Above all, Todd is passionately eager to share his multitude of gifts and is always grateful for the opportunity to do so.
